Surprising your better half after several birthdays and Christmases I'm finding even Pinterest is no longer producing creative idea.
I decided to do a paper plane themed birthday (ties in nicely with my blog) and even felt quite inspired when picking out gifts. Hope this post can help you.

Nothing quite says DIY like pulling out the glue gun. I used a YouTube video tutorial to create the paper planes (9 per A4 page) and then glued them onto the brown wrapping paper. Here are a few gift ideas: fishing rod, MMA boxing gloves (to use at gym), Dr Suess Happy Birthday To You book, clothing, belt and data bundle or ITunes voucher.
For the cake I used the following:
2 x single layer vanilla sponge cake
1 x tin of caramel
1 x large box of smarties
1 x large box of astros
1 x large packet of speckled eggs
3 x Kit Kat family pack
2 x Kit Kat
2 x Twix
Ribbon to tie around the cake
Besides being a pretty awesome looking cake this thing was delicious! You know you have a winner when your husband asks where you bought the cake from.
